WiFi not working in Windows 10!

It has been long time since Windows10 is released and the most amazing part of it is you can upgrade to Windows10 freely from your current Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. Many of us has already upgraded to windows10 but due to some reasons most of the users are again downgraded to their old windows. One of the main problem among them is no WiFi after upgrade, what ever we do the WiFi doesn't work at all. So, here is the solution that might help you:

First don't forget to check your WiFi button or switch is ON, unless it is ON nothing will change and always install the latest software updates. So, check the manufacturer site and see if any new updated driver sometimes it might fix the problem by installing the new version.

Still your problem is not solved? Then try the below solutions:

1. Enable/Disable your network adapter:
After upgrading to Windows10 your network adapter (LAN) or WiFi adapter may be disabled, you must enable it for functioning of WiFi. For enabling go to Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network and Sharing Center on top left side click on Change adapter settings, if your LAN adapter or WiFi adapter is in grey color than it indicates they are disabled. To enable right click on adapter their you can see enable option click on it and this will enable your networking adapter and your WiFi will start functioning.(Sometimes you have to restart your computer after enabling)
If your network adapters are already enabled and still WiFi is not working, then try disabling and enabling the network adapter. Still problem not solved? Then try next solution.

2. Enable WLAN service
Windows has a services viewer where you can check which services are running and which are stopped. Not only checking but you also start the service. To open services viewer go to File Explorer and right click on This PC, now click on manage and computer management window opens in that go to Service and Applications>Services>WLAN AutoConfig and double click on it, in general tab change the Startup type to Automatic and restart your computer. This will enable your WLAN service. (An image is provided for better and easy understanding)

3. Power management
This solution is to change the power management settings of network adapter. For that go to Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network and Sharing Center on top left side click on Change adapter settings and open properties for network adapter and then click on configure>Power management> Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." In some computers their may not be separate power management tab then go to Advanced>Power Saver>Change it to OFF.

4. Windows Firewall
Windows Firewall may be blocking all incoming WiFi signals. So, turn off your firewall for once and check if it works. For turning off go to Control Panel>System and Security>Windows Firewall>Turn Windows Firewall on or off(On left side).
Caution! Turning off windows firewall means your computer is exposed and won't block any potential harmful software or incoming connections. So, do this at your own risk.
If WiFi started functioning after turning off Windows Firewall and you doesn't want to turn off windows firewall permanently and turn it on, then change the settings so that even when firewall is on your WiFi works:
Windows Firewall>Advanced Settings>Inbound Rules scroll down to Core Networking and make sure that you enable all the private and public networks, but not the domain except for DIAL PROTOCOL SERVER(HTTP-IN) & iSCSI SERVICE and next scroll down to Network Discovery, select YES to all private and public, NO to domain. Set WiFi Direct Network Discovery, Scan Service use and Spooler use to YES. This change in settings will let you connect to WiFi.

5. Resetting Network Adapter
Resetting network adapter clears static IP if any. For resetting right click on start menu window logon icon and open Command Prompt(Admin). It is important to open the Command Prompt as admin. So, don't open normal command prompt, after opening type this exactly "netsh winsock reset catalog" and HIT Enter. Now restart your computer and this solves your problem, if still not solved then once again try the below command in Command Prompt(Admin) type this one exactly "netsh int ip reset" and HIT Enter, after when the process is completed restart your computer.

6. Device Manager(Uninstalling networking device)
If above steps didn't solve your problem then this is one of the best method. Uninstalling your network adapter device from device manager will fix your problem. Since, Windows10 automatically installs all the required drivers for your PC. To uninstall open Start Menu and search for Device Manager and after opening go to Network Adapters, right click on the wireless adapter and uninstall it (During uninstalling tick "Delete the driver software for this device" if it appears). After uninstalling restart your PC. Don't forget Windows10 will automatically install devices and its drivers. In any case uninstalled device is not installed automatically then install your network adapter driver manually.
